Epic 1.5/2.0 Guide
Epic Overview
In EverQuest, an “Epic” is a specific weapon exclusive to your class. Epic weapons are unique in stats and apparence. Epic weapon quests generally take no less than several days to complete, though there are a few exceptions. Most have a special ability that can be activated.
There is an achievement linked to each of your class’s three epic weapons (in addition to an “Epic 2.5” achievement that is gained when you finish a specific quest to augment your epic 2.0 stats). There are three epics per class, a 1.0 (from the Ruins of Kunark expansion pack), a 1.5 (from the Omens of War expansion pack), and a 2.0 (also from Omens of War). The 1.5 is similar in appearance to the 2.0 but has weaker stats and is level 65 required instead of the 2.0’s required 70.
Completion of the 1.0 or a bypass quest similar, but shorter, to the 1.0 is required to begin the Epic 1.5 quest. Completion of the Epic 1.5 is required to begin the 2.0. The 1.5 is consumed upon completing the 2.0. When you complete your class’s epic quest, you also gain a class unique title as well as 5 AA’s for 1.5 and 10 AA’s for 2.0.
Track your progress on Epic 1.5 Pre-Quest, Epic 1.5, and Epic 2.0
We have created an Epic 1.5/2.0 Tracking Sheet for everyone so we can stay organized and respond effectively to the upcoming influx of requests for assistance with epic raid encounters and farming. Please utilize the sheet to track your own epic progress and take the time to familiarize yourself with each quest and what you can do now to complete it!
Epic 1.0 / Epic 1.5 Pre-Quest
If you have NOT completed your Epic 1.0, it or your Epic 1.5 Pre-Quest will be necessary to flag your character to start the Epic 1.5. Your Epic 1.5 Pre-Quest gives you a precursor item that has no stats but is necessary for your character to start the dialogue to begin the Epic 1.5 quest.
Please note: You DO NOT need to complete BOTH your Epic 1.0 and your Epic 1.5 Pre-Quest. Only ONE is necessary to continue to Step 2.

Epic 1.5
Once you have completed either your Epic 1.0 or your Epic 1.5 Pre-Quest, you are ready to start your Epic 1.5. For many players, the Epic 1.5 is very much worth doing and will be the nicest primary/secondary item you have for quite awhile. Also, a lot of the boss encounters required to obtain the Epic 1.5 will have some nice loot so there is something in it for everyone.
Please note: Depending on your class, you CAN collect certain parts of the Epic 1.5 early, and you can also skill up in the required tradeskill(s) early. Some items are even obtainable on TLP servers before Omens of War releases, so get with your class Team Lead on what you can do to prepare.
Please note: You CAN have an Epic 1.0 and 1.5 at the same time.

Epic 2.0
Once you have completed your Epic 1.5, you are ready to start your Epic 2.0. For many players, the Epic 2.0 is very much worth doing and will be the nicest primary/secondary item you have for awhile, and it is a significant upgrade from the Epic 1.5. Also, a lot of the boss encounters required to obtain the Epic 2.0 will have some nice loot so there is something in it for everyone. The Globe of Discordant Energy drops from certain raid bosses in the Citadel of Anguish which is the final progression zone in the Omens of War expansion.
Please note: You will NOT be able to obtain your Epic 2.0 until the guild progresses to Anguish and defeats these bosses, but you CAN complete all but this final step to ensure you get priority when we reach that point.
Please note: Depending on your class, you CAN collect certain parts of the Epic 2.0 early, even before you have started the Epic 1.5, and you can also skill up in the required tradeskill(s) early. Some items are even obtainable on TLP servers before Omens of War releases, so get with your class Team Lead on what you can do to prepare.
Please note: You CANNOT have an Epic 1.5 and 2.0 at the same time, but you CAN have an Epic 1.0 and 2.0 at the same time.
